| KIRK ARTHUR ALEXANDER WEIR 1952 - 2011 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kirk Arthur Alexander Weir on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 58 years. Left to forever cherish Kirk's memory is his wife Violet Day; two sons, Cameron and Michael Day; two grandchildren Trenton and Seth Norcott; as well as many nieces; a nephew; and cousins. He was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Margaret Weir; brother, Jack; and three sisters, Gloria, Kathy and Shelly. Kirk was born on October 2, 1952 and was raised in Winnipeg, MB. He was diagnosed with Polio at nine months old and overcame numerous medical obstacles throughout his life. He did not let his physical challenges stop him from being active. Kirk was an award winning billiards player, a clerk for the finance department and enjoyed writing poetry. He will be remembered most for his social skills and sense of humour. He loved talking and making people laugh. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. On Wednesday, September 14, 2011, Kirk's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Avenue .
