DAISY JACQUELINE GREGG (published on September 13, 2011)

DAISY JACQUELINE GREGG Daisy Jacqueline Gregg of Brandon, MB, born November 14, 1929 in Cookstown, ON. Our loving mother and grandmother passed away Friday, September 9, 2011. Daisy was the youngest of four children, and grew up in a small town. At the age of 18 she married Donald Gregg. She worked various jobs here and there, but her devotion to family came first. Being a wife and mother filled Daisy's days. She was a member at Donnelly United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Fort Garry. She had a great love of birds and flowers and enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds. Her favourite vacation place was Freeport, Bahamas, where she went every year in February. She is survived by daughters, Julie Gregg of Calgary and Lorie (David) Beaney of Brandon, and grandchildren, Donald Beaney and Lisa (Cory) Andrew of Brandon. Daisy will be missed by two sisters-in-law, Audrey and Betty, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by husband Donald Gregg, her parents Gladys and Charles Copeland, sisters Olive and Muriel, and brother Thomas Alex. A Memorial Service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332 - 8th St., Brandon on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. There will be a private burial followed by a lunch served at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre. Daisy will be remembered for her kindness, great sense of humour and love of brilliant colours. Bright colours at her celebration of life are encouraged. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donation in memory of Daisy to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 5B7.
