She was equally passionate about lifelong learning and, as a mature student, attended the University of Winnipeg, graduating with an Honours degree in History in 1974. Gifted with an exceptional intellect, she was a member of MENSA, and delighted in the scholarly life. Following her retirement as a Federal employee, she gave tirelessly of her time as a volunteer for various charities, particularly as an organizer for the Kidney Foundation. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Winifred and Douglas Denny of Victoria; three nieces, two nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews The family would like to express their profound thanks to Mrs. Joan Walter, and Mrs. Joyce Wawrykow, who added so much to her quality of life in the latter years.
