ROBERT CORRIGAN (published on September 17, 2011)

ROBERT CORRIGAN Sadly we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our brother, husband, father and grandfather Robert William Corrigan on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Bob was born in Ottawa, the youngest of eight children. Having completed his formal education in Ottawa, Bob moved to Regina in 1958 to begin his training with the RCMP. He served with the RCMP attaining Sargeant status and was stationed in Ottawa, Charlottetown, Toronto and finally Winnipeg where he remained until his retirement in 1993. Bob had been enjoying a healthy and active retirement until the time of his passing. Bob is predeceased by his son Mark, mother Sadie, father Francis, brothers Albert, Ernie, Norman and sister Mary. At the time of his death, Bob leaves to mourn his loving wife of 49 years Janet, son David, and daughters Karen and Mary Jane, along with his six grandchildren Melissa, Dana, Gillian, Luke, Haley and Michael. Bob is also survived by his brother John and sisters Helen and Joan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to extend our thanks to the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic service and to Dr. Ron George of the Grace Hospital for his compassion and kind words of support. Prayers and viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
