HARRY ROHS It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Harry Rohs. Harry passed away peacefully on September 14, 2011 at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 86 years. He was born on the family farm near Camper, MB, and was the seventh of eight children. He worked on the family farm and also for neighbouring farms. He met Florence in 1947 and they were married in 1949. They farmed on various farms for a couple of years. In 1951, they moved and farmed in the Moosehorn District. Returning to Winnipeg in 1954, Harry worked in construction until 1963, when he started to work for the St. James School Division as a custodian and also was the church custodian for 25 years. Prior to this, he drove a school bus for two years. While in Winnipeg, they moved into a small home and completely rebuilt it for his family. In 1987, they moved to BC and remained there for six years. Harry wanted to return to Manitoba, and they found a home in Stonewall, where they resided for 13 years. They then returned to Winnipeg where they currently called home. Harry is survived by his wife Florence of 62 years; daughter Cary (Tony) Purvis; sons, David (Darlene) Rohs, Gerry and James Rohs; six grandchildren, Mark Purvis, Tom (Jen) Purvis, Tammy (Bruce) Large, Robert Purvis, Jeff Rohs and Lindsay Kriznic, as well as six great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
