ROGER HEBERT (published on September 28, 2011)

ROGER HEBERT It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Roger Hebert on September 24, 2011, in Winnipeg, at the age of 55 years. Roger was predeceased by his mother Camille in 1995 and leaves to mourn his wife of 30 years, Bonny, their two sons Denis, Alex, his baby girl Michelle, his father Laurent, brothers Gilles (Jeannine) and Don, sisters Rachel and Paulette Picton (Rosaire) and many nieces and nephews. Roger was raised in St. Adolphe, MB where he got into his fair share of mischief with many childhood friends. Roger met Bonny in 1977, and they married in 1981, taking up residence in Winnipeg's north end. Roger loved to talk to people. He started out as a labourer in construction, moved on to Life Insurance sales in the early 1980s, then advertising in the later 1980s, car hauling for most of the 1990s and most recently car sales, relocating the family to bigger digs in 2000 in the Westwood area of Winnipeg. Roger enjoyed photography, snooker, snowmobiling, curling, golfing and traveling, but, by far, he got the most enjoyment, and felt fierce pride watching his sons play basketball and football and watching his daughter set records in track. He was a compassionate friend, loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. Viewing will take place on Thursday, September 29, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, interment to follow immediately in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the auction staff, paramedics and Grace Hospital Emergency staff who tried so hard to keep Roger with us. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada, 3310 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
