GLENN GARRY TAIT (published on October 03, 2011)



GLENN GARRY TAIT SR. (HIGH NOON) March 24, 1961 September 29, 2011 Surrounded by his family and friends at the age of 50 years old Glenn entered into the Spirit world. Glenn leaves to mourn and will be forever remembered by his loving wife Roselyn; his sons, David Hardisty, Victor Cory Hardisty, Glenn Tait Jr., Bryceson Tait; his daughters, Brett and Lindsay Meeches. Papa will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Josie, Kori-Lyn, Shawanung, Nicholas, Mathias, Gavin, Cheveyo, and Cecily. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Valerie, Sandra, Selma and Gail; his brother Eugene; as well as, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Eunice and Roy Tait; grandparents; Joe and Ida Tait; Kathleen McKinney and Clarence Keewatin Cameron; his aunt Edna Swain; uncles, Eddie Catcheway, Clifford Thomas, Walter Cameron, and Robert Tait; brothers Brian and Laverne, and two other brothers and one sister. Glenn was a traditional man and a well respected pow-wow singer and teacher through out Turtle Island. His greatest passion was singing pow-wow and loved to travel the pow-wow trail. He was a family man and a well know pool player, who touched many lives. Always a protector, he stood up for what was right. He held his grandchildren closest to his heart. He was a loving man, loving husband, loving father, and a loving brother to all. A Traditional Wake Service will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at the Swan Lake First Nations Community Hall. Funeral Service will take place at the Swan Lake First Nations Community Hall on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, with feast at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Indian Springs Burial Grounds. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion, while Glenn was in hospital. Meegwetch.
