SANDRA NELL MORRISON (WIMBLE) October 18, 1936 - October 1, 2011 It is with extreme sadness the family of Sandra Nell Morrison (nee Wimble) announces her passing after a long battle with lung cancer at the age of 74. Sandra was predeceased by her parents Archibald Wimble (1983) and Nancy Wimble (Douglas) (1987), her husband Clifford Morrison (1995), her brothers Don Wimble (2004), and Derrick Wimble (1995), her grandchildren Skylar Morrison (1993) and Travis Hart (2004), her niece Sandra Chamberland (1982) and nephew Jeffery Wimble (2002). Sandra is survived by her siblings Karen (Bob) Chamberland of Minneapolis, and Doug (Gail) Wimble of Vancouver; her children Kim Morrison of Lethbridge, Sue (Rick) Carter of Lethbridge, Toni (Dan) Kendall of Kelowna, and Jim (Huma) Morrison of Prince Albert; her grandchildren Chelsea (Dwayne) Feyter of Lethbridge, Brody (Alicia) Carter of Lethbridge, Paige Morrison of Saskatoon, Owen Linklator of Edmonton and Bradley Cook of Brochet; her great-grandchildren Karson and Kaiden Feyter of Lethbridge, and Trenton Halkett of Brochet, and her many nieces, nephews, and many friends over the years. Sandra's close friends over the past 10 years were Noreen, Sylvester, Al and Kathy, Gerry and Pat, Sandy, Elgin and Barbara. Sandra was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, MB where she graduated from Technical Vocational High School in 1953. She met her husband Clifford in Winnipeg in 1958 and married in 1962. They moved to Penticton in 1967 where they owned a corner grocery store. Sandra worked for Revenue Canada in the taxation department in Penticton as well as an Admitting Clerk in the emergency department at the Penticton and St. Boniface Hospital, retiring in 1996. Mom fell in love with the Okanagan Valley and has always called that home. Sandra and Cliff moved back to Winnipeg in 1982 to be closer to family. In 2004 Sandra and Kim moved to Lethbridge to be closer to her grandchildren. Family has always been Sandra's main motivation in life. Her warm heart could be felt by everyone who Sandra met. Her love and compassion for family was limitless. Recently nicknamed the wolf angel', this personifies her passion for family values, courageous attitude towards life, and endless love of her family. A Private Family Service will be held. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Derman, Dr. Smith, Dr. Oviatt, Dr. Shukkoor, Dr. Lafayette, and Dr. Ireland for the wonderful care. Special thanks to Marion West for coming to the house, rain or shine, to check on Sandra's health and welfare. A heartfelt thanks to all the people at St. Michael's Hospital namely Celeste, Kerry, Lorelia, Rochelle, Mandy, Maida, Lydia, Linda, Joel, Jason, Ruth, Bill, Jennifer, Chrissy who all took such good care of Sandra.
