RACHELLE KIAZYK (published on October 05, 2011)

RACHELLE KIAZYK (nee GAUTHIER) It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rachelle, on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the age of 66 years. Rachelle is survived by her husband Stan, her children Brigitte (Mike) Mykytyn, Lisette and Matthew (Kristin Rose), three grandchildren Logan, Declan and Sadie, two sisters Georgette Mitchell and Suzanne Gauthier, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Roger and Marie-Jeanne Gauthier, and her sister Simone Demarcke. Rachelle touched the lives of many with her kindness and positivity. She saw the good in everyone. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Powerview, LaBroquerie, Ste. Anne, and Lorette. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. The most important aspect of her life was her family. She spent a lot of her time caring for her grandchildren over the years. She loved to read, garden, paint and be creative. She had an adventurous spirit and traveled whenever she could. She was actively involved with her parish and community. Her love and devotion to family and friends will always be remembered. She will be truly missed by all. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m., at Notre Dame de Lorette Parish, Lorette, MB. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
