JAMES (JIM) KAZUK (published on October 06, 2011)

JAMES (JIM) KAZUK It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Peacefully on October 4, 2011 at Grace Hospital, Jim passed away surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his mother (Ivy), father (John) and leaves to mourn his wife of 25 years (Bridget); sons, Jesse and Josh. Jim was born in Selkirk, MB in 1957 graduated from Selkirk comprehensive school, then went on to R.R.C.C., where he pursued a lifelong career in plumbing. Jim enjoyed a long career with Mikkelsen - Coward where he was a top performer within a company he highly respected. In Jim's earlier years, he was an accomplished athlete, he excelled at football, baseball, broom ball and later loved golf. Jim's pride and joy were his two sons, Jesse and Josh. Jim was proud to see Jesse follow in the trade and when Josh was recognized as the leading scorer and top player for 2011 high school hockey. Jim was a dedicated father. He taught his boys the love of golf and was later rewarded with them surpassing the teacher. Bridget's strength and support was felt by Jim. As per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. With special thanks to Mitch and Mike Zajac and Wendy Hofford of Mikkelson - Coward who supported the Kazuk family through this very difficult time.
