AGNES BURDIAK (published on October 06, 2011)

AGNES BURDIAK After a brief illness, Mom passed away on October 4, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Beloved mom to son, Derryl and wife Marilyn and loving granny to grandson, Calvin and she also leaves to mourn her passing, sister, Louise Mospanchuk; brothers, Vernie (Doreen) Kaspick, Alex Kasprick and Gordon (Emelie) Kasprick; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Joseph; parents Antoni and Mary Kasprick; grandson Jason Burdiak; brother Donald Kasprick; sister Jean Chester; sister-in-law June Kasprick and brother-in-law John Mospanchuk. Mom was a very hard worker, moving as a young teenager from Neepawa to Winnipeg. During her life, she had various occupations which included being a nanny, working for Family Services, a seamstress for a sewing factory and finally retiring as a HCA in 1983 from the Woman's Pavilion. When you visited Mom, you were well fed and always sent home with food. She loved adding her special touches to her home, adding stickers onto her treasures or a necklace on her animal ornaments. She would sit in front of the TV folding origami designs. The family would like to thank Joanne from homecare for the extra TLC, Dora from Seven Oaks third floor for washing Mom's hair on the weekend and the staff for their comfort care on Units 5 and 7 and the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Renal Health Clinic. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7 at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave with Rev. Fr. Yolando Gamallo officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Pallbearers are Calvin Burdiak, Rocky and Carl Chester, Barry Johnston, Brett Wasny and Ken Meakin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
