MICHAEL KIZLIK (published on March 09, 2005)

MICHAEL KIZLIK July 30, 1912 - March 6, 2005 With deepest sorrow we announce and bid farewell to our dear husband and father, Mike, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2005. His beloved wife Marjorie of 60 years survives Michael. Mike also leaves to mourn his passing two children, Jim (Shirley) and Elaine Raynor (Keith) of Winnipeg. He is also survived by four brothers, Paul, Tony, Johnny all of Winnipeg and Steven of Beausejour; and four sisters, Mary Fote and Jean Shumila of Winnipeg and Nellie Horosko and Helen Kianski of Beausejour. Mike is predeceased by his parents and sister Josephine Oneschuk and sister-in-law Ruby Kizlik. Mike farmed in the Cromwell district and did carpentry work. He was always fixing and puttering. Marjorie and his children will cherish his memory, his wit and humour forever. FATHER Who worked so hard and saved so long for what we have today; And anytime would sacrifice, His chance to rest and play. Who always saw his children have, The things he did without; And gave so much, unselfishly For that's what love's about. Who sought no honours, no rewards, For all that he had done; Except to raise a family, The very finest one. Though we cannot evaluate Our dad, his love, his worth, To us he'll always be Just Dad . The greatest guy on earth. You will always be missed.... Prayers will be said on Friday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Ehor Bloshchynskyy officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. We would like to thank Dr. Garth Campbell and the wonderful and caring staff of the Rose Unit of East Gate Lodge for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church or East Gate Lodge Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
