OLGA HELEN TRAINER Peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2005, Olga passed away at the Concordia Place Personal Care Home at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish Olga's loving memory are her daughters, Marianne (Tom) McClusky and Evelyn Sigurdson; sisters, Anne Dragan of Winnipeg and Stephanie (Steve) Cymbaluk of Florida. Olga is also survived by grandchildren, Wendy (Bruce) Boroski and children, Tia, Ali and Adam; Linda McClusky; Bob (Maryn) Sigurdson and children, Dana and Devon; Brenda (Mel) Adams and children, Stacey (Ciara and Mya), Tamara and Crystal. Olga was predeceased by her loving husband Robert of 41 years - they are together again. Also by her parents, Alexander and Nellie Dragan and brother Alec Dragan. Olga was born in Winnipeg, October 16, 1914. She attended Margaret Scott, Isaac Newton and St. John's Schools. She then attended Success Commercial College. In 1938 she married Robert Trainer. After raising her daughters, she worked at Eatons in the drug department until her husbands failing health, when she lovingly dedicated many years to caring for him. While small in stature, she possessed a huge heart, always putting other peoples needs before her own. She was a perfectionist through and through. This was evident in her gardening and especially baking (every cookie was the same size). No one ever left her house hungry. Olga spent almost five years at the Concordia Place Personal Care Home. She was a private person there, but appreciated the care given to her. She was blessed with visitors almost everyday. This past fall she enjoyed her 90th birthday party there surrounded by family. We express our gratitude to all the staff for their care and kindness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olga's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Olga was blessed these last few days as we held her hand until Jesus took it. We love you. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
