Olga was born in Winnipeg, October 16, 1914. She attended Margaret Scott, Isaac Newton and St. John's Schools. She then attended Success Commercial College. In 1938 she married Robert Trainer. After raising her daughters, she worked at Eatons in the drug department until her husbands failing health, when she lovingly dedicated many years to caring for him. While small in stature, she possessed a huge heart, always putting other peoples needs before her own. She was a perfectionist through and through. This was evident in her gardening and especially baking (every cookie was the same size). No one ever left her house hungry. Olga spent almost five years at the Concordia Place Personal Care Home. She was a private person there, but appreciated the care given to her. She was blessed with visitors almost everyday. This past fall she enjoyed her 90th birthday party there surrounded by family. We express our gratitude to all the staff for their care and kindness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olga's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
