ANITA FREDRICKSON (published on September 20, 2008)

ANITA FREDRICKSON (nee Peltier) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Fredrickson on September 18, 2008 at the Grace Hospital after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on January 4, 1936 in Meadow Lake, SK. Her education began at the convent in North Battleford, SK, graduating in 1955. She continued her education with the completion of a course in business administration in Saskatoon, SK. In 1958 she came to Winnipeg in search of employment. Her first job was with Federal Grain in the Grain Exchange Building working there from 1958 to 1968. After taking time off to have her two children Carl and Brian she then returned to the workforce with North American Lumber from 1972 to 1992. At this point in her career she went to work with her husband Larry at his business A L Catering until their joint retirement in December 1998. Her most favourite pastime was to create beautiful projects by knitting, crocheting and cross-stitching. She is survived by her husband Lawrence, her two sons Carl and Brian (Terry) and her two grandchildren Alyssa and Tristan. May she now find peace with God in heaven where her light and love may shine down on us all. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson's Society, 302 - 171 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1M4 would be appreciated. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd., with a reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
