KENNETH CHARLES BERRY (published on July 25, 2009)

KENNETH CHARLES BERRY 1941 - 2009 Peacefully, with family by his side Ken passed away, July 23, 2009 at the Portage General Hospital, Portage la Prairie, MB. Ken was born in Dauphin and grew up there. Ken went to the Spruce Creek School. In the fall of 1966 he ventured out to Vancouver, B.C. where he met his wife Donna and they were married on October 18, 1969. Again he was off back home to Winnipeg arriving November 11, 1969 where they started their family, retiring to Portage la Prairie with Donna in 2006. I will love him forever. RIP dear one. Survived by his wife Donna of 40 years, daughter Kimberly Ann, son Derek (Debbie), grandson Rylie. Also surviving him is his beloved sister Elaine (Floyd) Lumsted of Dauphin; also nephews Richard (Eunice), Lenora (Nicole); great-nieces and nephews Trevor, Chad, Allison, Christopher, Kyle, all from Dauphin, MB; sister-in-law Barbara (John) Gunson, who he always teased but loved dearly; brother-in-law Donald Livingstone, their children Michelle, Reanne, and Ryan all of B.C. Ken was predeceased by his father Harry in 1965, mother Frances in 2003. Dad provided for his family first as a long distance truck driver with Atomic Transport and for the last 28 years at Gardewine North. He loved what he did and looked forward to going to work every day. This hard work ethic is still seen in his family to this day. Dad semi-retired in 2006 and kept busy, still driving part-time and delivering coffee to his girls at Portage Walmart for their 9:30 a.m. coffee club meetings. It was served with a joke or two. Dad was a very generous devoted, caring man who always had time for his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28 in the Herman Prior Centre, 40 Royal Rd. North, Portage la Prairie. Cremation. If friends so desire, contributions to the Humane Society, Children's Wish Foundation or Central Plains CancerCare Services, 318 Saskatchwan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, would be appreciated Arrangements by Ronald Moffit Memorial Services, Portage la Prairie,
