MIKE (MICHAEL) KLYMOCHKO (published on July 07, 2010)

MIKE (MICHAEL) KLYMOCHKO August 14, 1927 - July 5, 2010 Called home to be with his Saviour and those that went before him, especially his beloved wife Martha. Mike leaves to cherish his memory his sons Bill (Lynda) and Albert (Sandra) along with his much beloved grandchildren Andrea, Benjamin (Nikki), Christopher (Jasmine), Matthew and Vanessa. Mike was born in Winnipeg. During the Great Depression his family moved back to Poland. They vacated back to Winnipeg weeks before Poland was invaded and war started. Life was not easy for Mike, suffering through polio and enduring the early passing of his sister, brother, parents and wife. He enjoyed his hobbies of fishing and hunting, as well as serving his Church, as long as he could. He was also proud of his 42 year career with the CNR. His life experiences shaped his character, which for some could be perceived as abrasive, but for those that took the time to know him, they discovered he always had your best interests at heart. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dad's community Amber Meadow Retirement Home for their love and support, Dr. David Marsh for his longtime care, as well as Dr. Moncek and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital 5-Unit-5 for their professional care and kindness. Funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. West in Transcona, with Pastor Harold Borchardt officiating, on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons along with family friends Tom Heinrichs, Dennis Boychuk and Merv Richardson. Dad's longtime friend Tom Kerchimer serves as Honorary Pallbearer. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made in Grandpa's honour to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. These donations will be used for the Glory of God. Funeral Arrangements in care of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE, WEST(AT BOND ST.) 224-1525
